The Alberta Affordability Grant

The Alberta Childcare Subsidy is being discontinued by the government moving into April, 2025.

The Alberta Affordability Grant allows parents to reduce child care programming costs regardless of household income. Rainbow Roots Preschool applies on your behalf. The Alberta Government is working towards $10-$15/day childcare by 2026. This grant encourages parents to enrol children in quality educational childcare programs operating in Alberta. Rainbow Roots Preschool Ltd. has signed the 2025-26 Affordability Grant Program Agreement and will offer reduced fees beginning April, 2025. Families with students who attend 50-100 hours per month will pay a rate of $230/month, while families with students who attend 100+ hours per month will pay a rate of $326.75/month. These amounts are reflective of a signed Alberta Affordability Grant Agreement. Rainbow Roots Preschool supports the equitable provision of quality childcare in our province.
